Students meeting eligibility requirements will have their names put in a container and one winner selected. Once the winner is selected, the awarded amount will be determined by academic criteria stated above. A student meeting eligibility, but whose name was not draw may enter each year they are working towards degree completion.
A committee of a minimum of three members will review the applications to ensure they meet the chapter guidelines. If a member has a child that is applying for the scholarship, they may not serve on the committee.
A check from the TN APCO Chapter will be sent to the college where the winner is enrolled, for the student in his or her name.
If for some reason the recipient fails to complete the next quarter or semester (not counting summer sessions) then the funds will be returned to the TN APCO Chapter. The Chapter may then issue an additional award or hold it until the next scholarship cycle.
The TN APCO Chapter must receive applications for this award by July 1, 2007 and awards will be made at the Chapter Summer meeting.
The first Scholarship Award will be made at the summer Chapter meeting in 2007. Future awards will be made at the annual chapter meeting when the other chapter awards are announced. |
