Jamarcus Williams

2nd Vice President

Jamarcus Williams

About Me

With 16 years of frontline 9-1-1 experience across three agencies, Jamarcus brings a deep understanding of both the challenges and rewards of public safety communications. In his current role, he serves as a Records Specialist within his agency’s Technology Department, handling records requests and court appearances while continuing to support frontline operations through overtime shifts.

In addition, he serves as the agency’s Community Outreach and Recruitment Supervisor, where he manages the agency’s public presence, social media, and recruitment efforts. Through this role, he works to give the community a greater understanding and appreciation of the lifesaving work performed every day by 9-1-1 professionals—work that often happens behind the scenes.

He has had the honor of presenting at local and national APCO, NENA, TENA, and Winter Workshop conferences, sharing insights from his frontline experience and advocating for the advancement and recognition of the 9-1-1 profession.

While he is deeply committed to public safety communications, his greatest passion is his family—his wife of 17 years, Lynsey, and their six children. He looks forward to the opportunity to serve on the TN APCO Board, where he hopes to help drive meaningful change, strengthen the profession, and support the dedicated 9-1-1 professionals who work every day to make Tennessee communities safer.
