Area 911 Directors, Dispatch Center Managers/Supervisors:
I have been working over the past several months to put together a Dispatcher Training Academy for our area/region. It is my hope that this will help area centers receive the training for their staff at an affordable cost for the agency. With the training being held in the region, the agency won’t have to pay for any travel for the students.
We will have our first session this fall, with the anticipation of holding the academy again in the spring of 2025 and continue having them twice per year, spring and fall. Making it easier for agencies to maintain the training standards.
This academy will be three (3) weeks in total duration, but if you have staff that only needs a particular course that is offered, they can just take that course. I
